Abt Associates is managing an innovative governance initiative in Papua New Guinea, aimed at contributing to security, stability, basic service delivery and inclusive growth for all Papua New Guineans. Abt Associates is responsible for the design and implementation of most of Australia’s future governance portfolio under the Papua New Guinea-Australia Governance Partnership. Bringing governance activities under one umbrella, the facility will enable greater coherence between, and consolidation of, individual activities, effective gender
mainstreaming, smarter administrative, contracting and management processes, and improved knowledge sharing and actions on lessons learned across the governance portfolio.
The Asset Officer will ensure the recording and auditing of all assets across AMSPNG’s scope of services. Ensure financial and management policy and procedures are met in the procurement of assets, services and consumables in a cost effective and transparent manner.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Practical experience in fixed assets, inventory and logistics or a related field
- Ability to identify assets discrepancies and immediately alert management. Carry out an annual asset verification/audit.
- Demonstrated experience multiple channels and audiences
- Action all Incident Notification Reports for Assets per the Policies
- Good communication skills
